Im a BBQ nut. I seek out BBQ in every city I go to. Yahoos is my home town BBQ joint. Ive been coming here for years, and will continue. Go here for the meat. Dont expect overly friendly service, but its just counter service, and they are pretty efficient. The sides are not homemade. I think the beans are canned and seems like the potato salad was purchased at Cosco. BUT the meat on a good day is world class. The ribs are some of the best Ive ever had. I prefer the way they do it - Memphis dry rub and St Louis cut. The brisket can be inconsistent, but when its fresh, its very good. Try the chicken wings - top notch. The "Bob" is unique and worth a try. Pork shoulder is very good. The Hot link is nothing special. Ive talked to Don (owner) about this and he said hes still looking for the right source, so maybe that changes over time. PRO TIP: Get the 2 or 3 meat combo with a couple of dinner rolls. Skip the sides. Get the ribs, wings, and either pork shoulder or brisket. Great spot to come before a Rockies game.

Not a bad balance between fat and meat, decent tasting pork, not really into the sauce (too much of the evil sugar), Overall decent, but the ribs were not really tender at all in honesty. If you want real BBQ I would say go to rudys. Its funny, the best BBQ in CO that I have had is a chain from Texas. And I am not biased about just Texas BBQ, there are many very good styles of BBQ besides Texas style. I think people are pretty desperate to call something "good bbq" in colorado. In fairness I have not had KTs in boulder or the ribhouse in longmont, so I cannot judge those two and I have heard good things about them. Another really wierd thing: I read 2 seperate reviews about them telling people rudely to hurry up when they were signing their cc slips. To my amazement, I never thought that it would happen, but I went in for the first time, and some guy was telling a guy signing just that! I was thinking "what is wrong with these wierd people", especially since it was very average.

Went in right before closing on Saturday night. I ordered brisket with two ribs. The food taste great, however, the next morning the left side of my chin had swollen with a large knot within the swell....By noon that same day the pain and swelling was subsiding, then I remembered I had left-over brisket in the frig; when I ate the brisket the swelling and pain instantly returned so I trashed it....Nothing else I ate that day had this effect....I dont blame Yazoo for the reaction my body had to the food (Ive eaten at Yazoo many times before), I do however suspect the employee that serve me. He looked unwashed and wasnt wearing any protected gear, i.e., hairnet, gloves and clean looking clothes.

Wentvhere for lunch and got a combo. Sauces were great, but the pulled pork was BAD. It was like they cooked it, chopped it up and ran it through a dehydrator. Remember the beef jerkey that comes in a little can (like a chew can). Well that would be moist in comparison.... I took it back to the counter to complain and the Guy behind the counter said "yeah it got overcooked". He went to get me some fresh pork. It had an ok texture but NO flavor and a not so pleasant smell. Which is surprising. Thisvplace smelled great, put the fresh from the oven pork had a not so good smell. Itsblike they pump in smoke smell into the restaurant to lure you in but they dont seem to actually smoke the meat.

Legit. GREAT cooks are at the smokers and stovetops. The chicken wings are possibly my fave, pork ribs a close second. (Yall, I dont even really like chicken...) Sauces for every palate... But really: just going with meats as they are served, you cant go wrong either. Best beans I can remember ever having, and all they want is a couple dollars from me...?! Great! Full bar upstairs with kindly barkeeps. They will have postseason baseball on the screens AND a built in watch party of folks to join you n me as we all travel the emotional roller coaster it inspires. I cannot imagine how any omnivore doesnt win at life in here.

I am very disappointed with this company in terms of how they speak with potential customers. I have been raving to my co-workers about the quality of the food (which is amazing)...introducing the company to multitudes and when I call to ask questions about delivery I am treated quite rudely. I was going to suggest to my co-workers the possibility that we could go to this location for our business meetings...after today that will not happen. Like I said the food is amazing...however when the customer service lacks it doesnt matter how good the food is. Is was nice knowing you!

Very poor customer service. Amy, in particular, is as rude and impolite as it gets. I came to Yazoo for the first time with a group from work. We ordered a ton of food and I decided after everything was payed for that I wanted to sample a small portion of green beans. With a look of disgust, Amy literally handed me two green beans on a plate, said thats all I get, and if I wanted more to pay for a side. No way to treat a new customer. Safe to say that I will not be returning in the future and will discourage all my friends and colleagues from visiting this poorly run establishment.

Food was ok, meat seemed extra fatty tho. I love ribs, but maybe we just got a bad rack? I expected it to be thicker. Sauces were good. Upstairs at the bar there were rowdy kids running around, kinda killed the vibe. Bartender never said two words to us. They started turning lights and tvs off 30 mins before they were even closed and said nothing to us. Pretty bummed as we were excited for this place. Also...just a suggestion but being a southern food spot, they should add cornbread to the menu. Disappointing they didnt have any.

Went to try today due to some recommendations from coworkers. Ordered the half chicken with two sides potato salad and baked beans. Moist chicken with a great dry rub, potato salad was good and baked beans were also awesome. Loved it. Yazzoo might be the best BBQ in Denver. Went again after work and tried the ribs with the potato cassarole and peach cobbler. The ribs were awesome! Potato cassarole was variation of mac and cheese. I saved the peach cobbler for tomorrow. Go and try Yazzoo.

Held a Denver rooftop party today for a departing member of our team and this was the best choice ever. I had suggestions for other BBQ places but chose Yazoo on the fly. It was a hit. Great everything. Everyone kept asking where it came from. Only one suggestion, put some branding on your containers or on your napkins so the organizer gets a chance to eat and stop telling everyone where the awesome BBQ came from. Nice job Yazoo!

My quest for the juiciest most delicious ribs is over. Yazoos in downtown is fantastic. The ribs are great, the wings are great, and the Bobs...well they are otherworldly. If you dont get there by 11:30 they are usually all gone. Don, the owner, is from Memphis and you can tell. They smoke everything on site and the smells hit you a few blocks away. Well worth the few block walk from downtown. Get there early!
