A friend recommended Alpine Valley Multi Grain with Omega-3 bread to me. I tried it and loved it!! Delicious and nutty - and only 65 calories per serving. I love the fact that the bread contains no added fat, oils, artificial flavors, additives or preservatives. We tend to have a lot of company because we live in Napa, CA and everyone I have introduced this bread to comments on how tasty it is. When they find out how healthy and low calorie the bread is, many of them find out where it can be purchased. I usually shop at Whole Foods but Nob Hill (Raleys) in my area carries it, so I go there specifically for the bread. Unfortunately, it must be catching on because the last two times I have gone in to buy it, the shelf was empty! Thanks Alpine Valley Bread for such a great bread!

A friend of mine works there, and they are real slave drivers! He just started two days ago, and they were yelling at him as well as the other workers on the bread assembly line, threatening there jobs because they just got Walmart as a multi-million dollar account. He observed supervisors picking up uncooked dough off the floor and throwing back on the assembly line to be packaged. These people work six days per week, ten hour shifts with only one 30 minute brake.they are allowed to take home a loaf of bread per day, but so far its been stale. I guess they only care about the money not the consumer nor their staff.

The prices at the bakery outlet are unbeatable for organic bread! I live close by and Im never buying bread from the grocery store again. The place is small, but there were at least 15 different varieties of sliced bread available, along with brownies, mini pies, hotdog and hamburger buns, boxed crackers, chips, bagged cookies, and other miscellaneous snacks. Good to know: they accept cards and cash, but if you use a card there is a $5 minimum purchase. I visited on a Thursday morning around 8:30 am and I was the only one in the store. It was very well stocked at that time and there were plenty of $1 loaves.

I went into the Alpine Valley Bread Co. looking for bread rounds. I waited at the counter for 15 minutes as people in the back worked, no one so much as shouted to someone else "customer at the front". Finally when someone came to the front, I asked for bread rounds. They then spent another 10 minutes looking in "the back" and finally told me theyre putting some in now, itd be ready in 2 hours. I left and came back 2 hours later and was then told "Oh no, it has to rise for a certain amount of time, come back in the morning." I will never go back to that store.

I had been buying this bread for about 15-20 years. It started as a big beautiful 1.5-2 lb loaf at a reasonable price. Now its an air fluffed shrunken loaf for almost twice the price. While I applaud that the owners made a bunch of money in selling this company to a big corporation, Im afraid its the beginning of the end of this once beautiful bread because the quality is no longer what I became accustom to and I refuse to buy it now because of that. Im very disappointed.

Our family loved buying Alpine Valley Sprouted Honey Wheat with Flaxseeds. We would stock up at Costco, put them in the freezer, and cycle through a loaf per day, roughly. But it seems like with the new packing, theyve snuck in a new recipe. A subtle change, but the new bread tastes inferior, and family members are complaining. It looks like we must search for a new bread, unless Alpine Valley Bread would like to change it back. So disappointing!

Multigrain Omega 3 bread under old packaging was moist and delicious. Then the packaging was changed which made it harder to identify (other customers at Costco also had a hard time identifying this brand), and I found that this bread under the new packaging was very dry. If my next purchase of this bread is still too dry, I will return it to Costco, and will shop for another brand of bread that has more moisture. What gives????

I try to eat well and this bread store helps me save big money. Yes, it takes time. Never go here in a hurry, but the staff is very friendly when you strike up a conversation and they are always more than willing to be helpful. They dont always have the exact same breads every time, but they do have variety. This is a perfect place to go when you need bread, but nothing specific and youre not in a hurry.

Hands down THE BEST BREAD! Healthy incredibly high quality organic options for a price that is just this side of free. Ive never waited longer than a minute or 2 and the staff is all wonderful. Im sure everyone has their down days just like the people who write 1 star reviews but I shop there often and have never encountered anything less than 5 stars. Thank you Alpine Valley

I am looking forward to picking up a load tomorrow going to Denver. And I am going home this weekend so I can buy a few loaves! I have given it 4 stars based everyone elses comments so far. I will up date tomorrow after I load. Usually I only give a "pre-review" of 3 stars but the extra star is because I am super excited! I hope to be adding another star in the morning!

They are extending their hours! They used to only be open until 2:30 PM, but now will be open to 5 PM on most days. They are also moving the shop to the building up front. Youll be able to spot it easily by the huge "Bakery Outlet" sign above the doors. I come here all the time to buy their "day-old" bread. What normally costs $3 or so only costs $1, and its perfectly good.

Our church in working with The Valley of the Sun United Way and Project Connect an outreach program for the homeless had the opportunity of feeding over 600 of the homeless and their guest guides and Alpine Valley Bread donated the buns for the hamburgers and hot dogs. Thanks Alpine for your generosity and support in the community

Amazing healthy quality sliced bread. Many different varieties to choose from. The factory store has discounted bread and does $1 specials. Before you go in, stop outside and breathe in the amazing smell of freshly baked delicious bread. Great place to frequent and the staff is friendly and helpful.

This is..by far...the best bread my family and I have ever eaten. Its healthy, but its absolutely delicious. When its toasted its crunchy like toast is supposed to be, but anyway you eat it, its fabulous. Ive given all my family and friends loaves....its so great. Thank you, Alpine Valley Bread Co.!!

Unfortunately small companies try to increase profit by reducing cost , well thats understandable in todays world. However when you lose the thing that makes it worth buying in the first place whats the point. We loved the original version- bring it back! if not- ill have to go back to Daves bread..

This place is fantastic. You can get breads for a fraction of the cost you would find them in the shops. Most of their products are also Kosher, which is fantastic because a lot of the supermarkets in the area dont carry a wide selection of Kosher breads.
