On a random Saturday we were craving for some "New York Pizza." Yelp led me to this joint so there we went. Upon entry we were fascinated by the celebrity photographs on the walls. I was like, "Hmm... they must be really special..." I ordered a Nonna Maria and a Mushroom. I got a free soda using my Yelp check-in. First bite into the Nonna Maria I fell in love. The tomato sauce is indescribably fresh and unique. Tasted like seafood-ish to me. The thin crust is crisp full with flavors. Yummmm~~~ My man had a Pepperoni-Sausage and a Grilled Chicken. Both are meaty, soft, tender and juicy. How heavenly tasty :) Were extremely pleased with the food quality and service. The Albanian man who reheated my pizza were happy to serve us (cause he was smiling) and he wouldnt mind our questions regarding the restaurant history. We left the place smiling as well. Couldnt be happier to discover this amazing place :) Plus, you cant go wrong with a restaurant which has been voted by Food Network as best pizza in NYC for 3 years!

Very good pizza. A bit of a hassle since the restaurant is very small and crammed. Feels like a sardine can, but were here to eat pizza not complain about personal space! This pizza definitely lives up to its name. The sauce is superior because of the parmigiano cooked into it. The base yields a crunch that will send chills down your spine (in a good way of course). The cheese is fresh, and you HAVE TO make sure to pour some fresh, cut-on-premises parmigiano onto your slice! That is the best parmigiano you will ever taste - I promise. Overall, this is the best place in New York where you can get a single piece of thin slice pizza. I would rank Lombardis and Kestè higher, but they do not offer single slices. Also, Kestè is a neapolitan pizza, and therefore cannot be compared with Bleeker Street Pizza... Cant compare apples and oranges - you know the drill. This is not necessarily the cheapest (3.50/slice), but its well worth it. As always, the Margherita is amazing. Give it a shot and you wont be disappointed.

Bleecker Street knows how to make an amazing pizza. The crust was thin-crust, which I vastly prefer, and had just the right crunch and chewiness ratio. I got two slices: one of cheese, one of mushroom. Im not even a super huge fan of mushroom pizza, but I was in a vegetarian kind of mood. It was pretty expensive to get two slices of pizza, but the prices were pretty comparable to what youd spend elsewhere in New York (and even in other cities, like San Francisco). I thought the cheese was perfectly melted. You could add your own shake of Parmesan cheese to taste, the kind of powdery Parmesan. I had read Yelp reviews before going to Bleecker Street and some people think the pizza is too greasy, but what great pizza is NOT somewhat greasy at least? Good pizza has cheese and cheese has grease. Service was fast and efficient, but they also have to be since the place is small and they need to get customers their food fast so they can meet turnaround time.

Regardless of which NY pizza place you prefer, I think everyone can agree with the fact that pizza tastes best when it is piping hot and right out of the oven. Given the fact that this place takes over an hour to deliver a pie 5 blocks down bleeker (when they claim it will take 15-20), it is not surprising that it showed up lukewarm. I dont know what this pizza tastes like hot, but it is certainly not good at room temp or when reheated. The cheese on the Nonna Maria was congealed and rubbery, the sauce was actually cold and nothing special, and the crust was burnt and hard. I generally prefer Johns but decided to try the delivery from here since Johns wont deliver to me and Ive had a few people recommend this place. Ive learned my lesson though and next time I will just suck it up and walk to get some pizza that actually tastes good. Oh, and it cost nearly thirty dollars to get one pie and two sodas delivered - absolutely not worth it.

I had heard about this little gem from multiple sources, so there was no way we werent gonna stop. There was a little bit of a wait, but thats pretty par for the course. Lots of history & celebrity pics up on the walls, so that was cool to see. Things got a little "sideways" when my wife asked for a towel to wipe off the table herself. No biggie, right? Were perfectly capable & it really wasnt a big deal...to us. The guy said "No, Ive got it." We noticed some faces being made by the staff, but just blew it off. The other problem was as my wife & daughter were eating they both noticed hair in their food. Two different types that didnt fit any of us. Disgusting part is thats just what we caught. Didnt make a big deal of it because, eh...well only probably ever be here the one time, but a word to the wise: If you go, dont piss these guys off!

My initial impression of this place was that it was going to be run down. I have a sense where I think I have the worst thought about a restaurant even before I walk into it. This place was no different. As I was being seated in the area, I looked over and I could see the kitchen. I can say for sure that this was the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen in any restaurant. I was amazed. The waiter can over to us and we ordered an entire pizza just for my husband and I. I really liked the pizza because it was not over cooked or under cooked. It was the perfect amount. The service was also very good and I could tell everyone was well trained. I think this was a fantastic place to go have an informal dinner with. This usually is not a place my husband and I would go, but we gave it a shot and it was worth every minute.

Fabulous, authentic Italian pizza with great atmosphere. You order your pizza at the counter, pick up your drink of choice (everything is in bottles), and take a seat at one of the wooden bench-style seating overlooking all of the pizza cooking action. Your pizza arrives quickly from the brick ovens on a full sheet pan. You eat directly off of the pan -- no plates here but rather plastic knives and forks and rolls of brown paper towels. A little toppings bar is all help yourself -- really amazing imported red peppers in olive oil, grated fresh Parmesan, imported Italian olive oil, crushed red pepper, sea salt, etc. My favorite pizza here is the Margherita -- simple and delicious with really fresh, highest quality ingredients. And fantastic, made to order cannolis for dessert.

For years I have listened to transplanted New Yorkers complain about not being able to get a decent slice of pizza here in Charlotte, & for years I thought they were just being home sick and whiny. Id like to take this opportunity to make ammends for my previous bouts of contempt on this topic, and state for the record that Bleecker street pizza is the best Ive ever had. The crust! Every pizza should be so fresh and crisp! I had the standard pepperoni, but my wife had the Nonna Marie & proclaimed it the best shes EVER had. Ive had pizza from Boston to Chicago to New Orleans to Puerto Rico and back up the into my birthplace of Neptune NJ & Ive never had better. Next time were back in the city, well be stopping by Bleecker Street Pizza!
