We visited Manhattan for a week and I had several places on my list to try; HB Burger was on this list and they did not disappoint. I had combed the New York "Best of" reviews, through several local magazines and this place is one that was on all of the lists. If Im not mistaken it was # 3, or # 5 on most of those "best of" for burgers. I had the regular HB burger which is Flank, Chuck, and Prime Rib mixed together; it was really tasty and very reasonably priced for the area. In addition the regular fries are good too. My kid and wife really liked the hand made tater tots, there a house specialty! We ended up going twice because it was so good the first time. The first night our server was David and he was great; the second night we had a younger women and she was really bad, but it was about the food and it was great! My wife had a summer beer with some kind of fruit in the blend; she loved it!

Volle punktezahl!!!!

We went there on a Girl Scout event for lunch. We had family style but when we got are food there was a hair in the burger and the pasta was cold. We said something and we got a dirty look and they were rude. The guy said it did not come from us, we wear hair nets. He said maybe its your hair. Well first of all the hair was black my daughter hair is red and it was stuck to the meat of the burger. Then we asked the staff if we could get a glass of milk and we were told it will take a while. And never got the milk. The dessert try there were 6 cookies and cut up brownies. There was not even enough there were 8 of us and 6 cookies. If we ever go back to New York we wont be eating there again.

I have been to this burger joint a couple of times and their burgers are pretty impressive in the taste and quality department. If you are a burger fiend, I dont see how you could be disappointed. HB Burger is also known for their local brews. And they are not so bad either. If you dont know what brew to get just tell your server the type of beer you like and he/she will be sure to get you the right one (that was my experience at least). I only give it 4 stars because I found it bit pricy for a burger joint. You pay will something around $20 for a burger and fries. If you get a couple of brews that number will easily double. But I will admit the ambiance did make up for it a bit.

Heartland Brewery (where the "HB" in HB Burger comes from) is always a favorite place of mine, regardless of the location. This is one of my few "safe spots" to go to when Im in or around the midtown/Times Square area. Consisting mainly of nothing but burgers as the main courses, opposed to their other Heartland locations, you cannot go wrong with your orders. As for drinks, their long bar has a bevy of alcoholic beverages to chose from, but why would you order a cocktail when youre at a brewery? They have all the greats on tap that make the Heartland Breweries what they are; a place full of great drinks you cant say no to.

HB burger was my most satisfying meal on my last visit into the city. Ive been eating buffalo burgers for years, and this was by far the best Ive had yet. The fries were unique, and delicious. All of the beers are house brews (this is an outpost for Heartland Brewery). The Czech-style beer was fantastic -- I dont think you could go wrong with a shake, a homemade soda, or anything on the beer menu. Beer, burger, and fries came to approximately $20/person -- a steal for how much I enjoyed the meal -- not to mention being a block from Times Square.

Just went here today for lunch with a friend and, oh man, did I have a good burger! I got the beef burger, medium, with jalapeno jack cheese, bacon, sauteed onions, and sliced pickles, and for the price it was pretty damn amazing. Be sure to ask for some dijon mustard if you want an extra little kick. The atmosphere is a bit more laid back and low key than the bigger Heartland Brewery, but they still have the good beers and fried pickles that you know from HB. Will definitely be coming back here!

Great spot for after work drinks and burgers! Good location, close to the subways, and no wait time. Grab a beer on draft and order a burger along with some tots. The beers are pretty good with a wide selection and a few seasonal ones. Be wary, this is a spot where there are lots of suits and ties. Its common to see an orientation gathering of recent college grads. Head elsewhere if you dont like the young crowd.

I went to eat after work on Saturday 25th, it was a party a party of 5 (4 adults 1 kid) 20% gratuity was added to my tap. I was very disappointed. I emailed the company right after, so far there is no reply. Im a local, I work in the area in the same industry, I eat out a lot, i will never go back to this place. I just think those restaurants that do 20% auto grat without letting you know are low.

One of the best turkey burgers I have ever had. Moist, well seasoned and just the right size. The tater tots are good (not like you remember from high school) and the chicken sandwich was good, too. They make old-time sodas - I had the diet root beer and it didnt taste like diet. Try the "hard" shakes - the one with mint is good but not low-cal. Good food for a good price and not a chain!

Sehr guter Burger, nettes Ambiente und freundliches Personal, das leider etwas unkoordiniert wirkte. Aber alles im allem netter Laden mit feinen Burgern, auch für den kleineren Hunger.

Wonderful! Planning to go the Heartland Brewery next door and went here instead. Been back many times. Main things I like are the variey of burgers (tuna, bison and the first time there they had a lamb burger which was outstanding) and the size of the burgers. Unlike other NYC burger/steak houses in NYC this place serves a normal sized burger which is plenty filling without the guilt.

an escape from the tourists for office workers or locals alike. my girlfriend and i enjoyed our juicy tuna burger and a buffalo burger respectively. both cooked to our requested temperature though sadly the juicy burgers led to soggy bottom buns. id much rather enjoy a soggy bottom than a dry burger.fries were cold but server replaced them. overall - good lunch with colleagues place.
